QA Inspector – Tooling

Education & Experience

Skilled Trades Certification as Industrial Mechanic Millwright, Tool & Die Maker or Machine-Tool Builder


2-3 Year College Diploma in related Technical Field

Inspect complex tooling and welding fixtures
Scan/Inspect stamped and welded assemblies and compare to GDT
Program and operate Faro Arm with Porbe and Laser Line Scanner and PolyWorks Inspector Software
Program and operate CMM with PC-DMIS software
Make tool shim adjustments to nominal
Construct report templates and produce reports using common office software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Adobe PDF)
Assist/guide tooling set-up and alignment
Blueprint reading with the ability to interpret detailed prints, assemblies, GD&T.
Use and manipulate CAD and translation data (Solidworks, IGES and STEP)

Experience in the following areas would be advantageous:

PolyWorks Inspector Software experience
Knowledge of CAD- (Solidworks preferred, Catia)

Other Requirements:
Competency in English (both verbal and written)
Attention to detail by accurately documenting and measuring tolerances
Able to lift and carry 40lbs repeatedly and more weight occasionally
Knowledge of CAD- Solidworks preferred
Competent in the use of a computer and common MS Office software (Outlook, Excel, Word)
Perform tool assembly or machining in slow periods
Willingness to broaden knowledge in precise measurement, geometry and trigonometry, tooling assembly and CAD data manipulation.
